This is the maximum speed limit prescribed by law. The same rules that apply to a Class B moped (helmet, yellow license plate, insurance, etc.) also apply to speed pedelecs (45 km\/h).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>What is the energy consumption or action radius of my Leone bike?<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>The <strong>action radius<\/strong>\u00a0differs from bike to bike and depends on the battery used. Weather conditions, where you bike and your weight also affect this. The standard battery has an action radius of up to 100 kilometres. Naturally, the top models have a longer action radius. Together with you, we determine which bike meets your specific requirements based on anticipated use.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>How can I optimise my energy use or action radius?<\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure the battery is always fully charged before using the bike.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the assistance level as low as possible.<\/li>\n<li>Use a slightly higher gear and shift down when riding in wind or uphill.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the tyres are always correctly inflated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>How do I charge the battery (pack)?<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>You can remove the <strong>battery<\/strong>\u00a0from the bike and charge it with the charger provided or you can leave it on the bike and charge it by connecting it to a power outlet. Avoid storing the bike with a completely dead battery. The battery should ideally be half-charged when stored.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>How can I make the battery (pack) last longer?<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>The battery should not be exposed to extreme temperatures. In extremely cold weather, the action radius of the bike may be lower than normal. It is advisable to remove the battery from its holder on the bike and charge it indoors. If you do not plan to use the bike for over a month, we recommend charging the battery every two weeks.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>How do I maintain my bike?<\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>For safety reasons, always check whether all parts are secure, the brakes function properly, the tyres are correctly inflated and the lighting works (check both the front and rear lighting) before use.<\/li>\n<li>Protect your bike from extreme weather conditions and store it in a garage, indoor bike shed, etc. when not in use.<\/li>\n<li>Do not wait until all dirt on the bike has dried before cleaning it; it is easier to remove immediately. Be careful when using a high-pressure cleaner! The powerful water jet may damage bike parts. It is better to use a bucket of water and a sponge. Make sure to use a mild cleaning product, preferably one made especially for bikes. Prevent rust formation by drying your bike thoroughly.<\/li>\n<li>Lubricate the chain and gears monthly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Can I transport an electric bike in a regular bike carrier?<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>Our Leone bikes can be transported using the most common types of bike carrier. We do recommend that you remove the battery from the holder and transport it inside the car.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Do I need a registration number, license plate or helmet?<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>None of these are required for an electric bike that reaches speeds of up to 25 km\/h.
